Janet Williams

Janet Williams, associate of Business Improvement Architects, is an experienced Business Consultant, Project Manager and Instructor. Janet specializes in Project Management and Business Process Improvement and has worked for the Public and Private Sector, including non-profit organizations.

In her consulting and project management work Janet’s focus has been to help organizations navigate and manage change as they implement their strategic objectives. She assists organizations with strategic assessments, analyzing problems and providing recommendations for corrective actions. Based on the needs of the organization, Janet provides project leadership and project team support. Throughout the project lifecycle Janet builds and manages effective project teams, creates solid project plans and ensures communication reaches all levels of the organization.

Janet’s diverse industry experience includes working with organizations in telecommunications, media, chemical distribution, corporate education, federal, provincial and municipal government. Janet has managed projects for IT, human resources, marketing and sales, finance, regulatory affairs, operations, warehouse and distribution. Janet has coached organizations through the process of implementing Project Management best practices and developing Project Management Offices, resulting in organizational cost savings, more effective management of resources and achieving project deadlines. She has helped organizations gain efficiencies by analyzing business processes to find improvements, facilitating better client relationships through establishing customer service agreements and creating training documentation.

Janet has an extensive teaching and leadership background. As an instructor Janet has taught public courses at colleges and universities across Canada including, St Mary’s University, Carleton University, York University, Schulich School of Business and Sheridan College. She has taught customized in-house courses for corporate clients such as LV Lomas, Honeywell, Canada Health Infoway and Bell Canada.

Janet has lived and worked in the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada. In her spare time, Janet writes children’s books promoting healthy living and environmental awareness. Janet has completed the Honolulu Marathon and is a Yoga Instructor. Janet is also an active supporter of the Nature Conservancy of Canada.
